Stop Being Poor

Conservatives really do think less of you if you’re not making money hand over fist. And liberals aren’t quite the bleeding hearts they make themselves out to be especially when it comes to property and zoning laws. They’ve quietly made sure affordable housing is not built too close to their gaudy neighborhoods which could potentially drive down the property value.

The typical voter views most politicians, regardless if they’re conservative or liberal, as two sides of the same coin.

It’s a game of heads I win and tails you lose. 🪙

Flipping the coin doesn’t guarantee any sort of net-positive outcome for voters; it’s pre-determined that there’s 100% a liberal or conservative is going to screw you over.

Being poor is the default setting in life for most people and you have two choices: Either work until you setup a successful enough business to retire or work for your business and keep working forever. Millionaires and billionaires will share their hectic routine that they committed to and somehow end up with the idea that it’s possible for anybody.

I’m not upset for anyone who has the back breaking work ethic and can create a business from the ground up. Hell, I’m not even mad at tech bros who get a jump start from their parents with a lump sum of money. I’m especially not mad at anyone who earns the top dollars after going to a university or a trade school, nor am I not mad at anyone who becomes an entrepreneur which stems from sports, entertainment, YouTube, TikTok, etc.

What makes me see red is that capitalism tends to shrink the hard earned dollars of people who choose not to forgo any of that in life and the general consensus among both conservatives and liberals is that said person deserves their fate.

Add in the never ending greed and companies who prey on the poor, and you’ve got a receipt for disaster.

So, what do you get when you pull yourself up by the bootstrap and dedicate your life to a company if you choose not to take the paths I mentioned?

Well, Nevada resident Kevin Ford gave 27 years of his life to Burger King. You would think that the company who makes billions a year would be capable of giving him something that reflected that sort of dedication.

And of course: You would be sorely mistaken.

The greedy sons of bitches gave him a goody bag haphazardly slapped together with random items and they essentially told him good luck.

His daughters had to raise money through GoFundMe and were able to pull in about $450,000. So, this story at least had an happy ending.

But I cannot stress to prople enough that, despite the happy ending for Ford and his family, these types of situations are never stories that should make you feel good, because there’s people in Congress right now who would not vote for any bill which would require any sort of social security [net] for Ford so that he would’ve been able to live without the fear of losing everything.

Conservatives and liberals would be okay with Ford working until he died if it meant not ruffling any feathers of these billion dollar corporations.

While they don’t have to say the words “Stop Being Poor,” they tell you every single day with how they vote, or rather how they don’t vote, and bicker which merely sells the illusion that they have actually have a solution in mind.

These smarmy politicians would shake Ford’s hand and tell them he’s dedicated, hard-working and honest, but they would sell him out in a heartbeat if Burger King offered a donation.

Stop Being Poor.
